The GoS Norrsken caliber GOS03 is an automatic movement powered by a micro-rotor. This caliber is currently only available in the GoS Norrsken Northern Lights watch.

Schwarz-Etienne:

This caliber was manufactured, modified and handfinished by Schwarz Etienne for GoS. The base movement is a Schwarz Etienne caliber ASE 200.00. As Patrik Sjögren (the founder and S in GoS) told us: “Schwarz Etienne is one of the few true manufacturers that also work with small independent brands.”

Finishing:

The GOS03 features microrotor that is manufactured by GoS from their signature Damascus steel. This is designed to fit the overall theme and Damascus dial and case of the Norrsken model.

In the brands’s own words:

“The Calibre GoS03 is made by movement specialist Schwarz Etienne and customized by GoS. It encompasses premium finishing, including hand-polished bevels and specific modifications requested by GoS, including a dedicated escape wheel bridge. We equip the movement with our own micro-rotor, hand-forged in Damascus steel. Its upper surface is suffused with shades of green and black, matching the appearance of the dial. The micro-rotor sits flush with the neighboring bridges, mitigating the height of the movement and providing unrestricted views of numerous beautifully finished components. The ratchet wheel is adorned with the GoS triskele emblem. When the mainspring is fully wound, the watch will run autonomously for 86 hours.” –source
