The Patek Philippe caliber PP 240 is micro-rotor automatic movement found in some Calatrava and Golden Ellipse watch models. The micro or mini-rotor is made from solid 22K gold. You may also see this caliber written as PP240, but technically Patek Philippe simply refers to it as “240”. It is Swiss made with 27 jewels and a beat rate of 21,600 bph. This caliber has a diameter of 27.5mm and a thickness of only 2.53mm thin. When fully wound, the PP240 offers a power reserve of at least 48 hours. This movement is equipped with a Gyromax balance wheel and a Spiromax balance spring.
