Today I found a watch in a drawer… it is a “Swiss-made Quartz Chronograph.” I opened the back, and the movement is a Ronda 726, 13 jewels. I have a couple of crappy photos, but nothing up to the standards of your usual shots. I’m working with a smartphone here. Anyway if I can add it somehow I would, but I’m new to the watch world and I can’t tell you anything other than: it exists.

Actually I found pics online so I guess I wouldn’t need to take the photo. But, yeah.

Re: Ronda 515.24D , the D signifies a GMT 24hr wheel not a 24hr hand mLocmans GMT window is at 9 o’clock , date at 3 , purchased new on nov 10th 2023 in a Locman (Italy) stereo tv watch , specs by Ronda is the standard +/- 20 per month , Locman’s specs in the supplied OEM user booklet say +/- 5 seconds a month , and since the 10th November 2023 until now the watch has gained 1 second yes one! and that is 2 months+ atm 23rd /1st / 2024.

NOT a fan. I fell for premium price watches advertised with “Swiss Movement” a few times, and the few I bought all failed! I tossed them, and it permanently soured my taste for 200 dollar and more watches. My nearly 40 year old sub 30 dollar watches (several from a 10 dollar stand in Tacoma Mall) all survive with their Seiko calibers. Pop a new battery in, and Seiko/TMI/Hattori last forever, but tell me a watch has a Swiss movement, and I now RUN out of the store!! Lately (since I was a teen, quartz had the Schwartz for me)… Read more »

Aw, hey man I hope you’re feeling more positive. Don’t give up on watches if you’re passionate about them. EVERYTHING is awful and corrupt if you look hard enough. Many things are wonderful if you remain pragmatic and avoid having undue expectations. There are many luxury items that are very expensive, not for being better, but for being status symbols. It has nothing to do with reliability or really even quality, it’s the fact that those items are rare, exclusive, and so expensive only a certain type of person can buy them. Maintaining the “Club’s” preferred member’s social and fiscal… Read more »

I have a Techno Marine UF6 Retrograde with a Ronda 7004.N movement inside. On the movement itself it states 5FIVEJEWELS, yet everywhere I look, the movement is reported as having 6 jewels. Now I thought I had misread and grabbed a loupe and it clearly states there are only 5 jewels. Literally prints the number then spells FIVE out as if to re-emphasize it being 5 and not…. 6. Does anyone know what the deal with this is? The number of jewels in a movement never occurred to me as something that could be ambiguous but uh….. yeah I guess… Read more »

I can’t make heads or tails of this. I have two numbers on the back, one is the battery number 364, under that is 7453. It’s a Ronda with one jewel. Watch has 3 hands and no date. Any ideas? Thanks

Without taking mine apart, I found the same exact watch with the Ronda movement. Face has tiny number 763 just under 6 Oclock. Gotta love AI and eBay lol. Many thanks.
