Some of the topics covered in this caliber listing:
Base Caliber:
Oris 733 is basically a Sellita caliber SW200-1 with a custom rotor.
The rotor features a red upper piece with the following text: “SWISS MADE / ORIS / HIGH MECH”.
What grade is it?
Oris is transparent about using the standard grade for the 733 (source).
Typically, the standard grade Sw200-1 has a Novodiac anti-shock device, however, it appears that Oris orders the base movements for the 733 with Incabloc chock absorbers.

Accuracy:
According to Oris, watches with the 733 can expect timekeeping to be within +7 to -12 seconds per day – resulting in an average accuracy of -5 to +19 seconds (source).
Oris 733 VS 733-1:
At the time of this post, the Oris catalog features watches with both the cal. 733 and 733-1.
Both are based on the SW200-1, both have the same dimensions (25.6mm) and jewel count (26). The main difference is the power reserve quoted by Oris:
- 733 – 38 hours
- 733-1 – 41 hours
Caliber Corner has reached out to Oris for more information about these two calibers and will update this post accordingly.
Update 12/30/24: As suspected, the “-1” in the 733-1 is there to correspond with Sellita’s move to the updated quote of 41 hours power reserve for the SW200-1.
Examples of watches with this calibre:
The 733/733-1 is used in a wide array of Oris watches.
The movement pictured below was found in an Oris Aquis Date dive watch:
