In-House or Out-House?
Despite the product page for the Classic Fusion having a section titled “Pioneering Watch Movements” with a blurb about in-house movements, the HUB1110 is not an in-house or manufacture movement.
It is based on a Sellita SW300-1. Apart from the Hublot branded rotor (and supposedly finishing, but what part of the finishing is Hublot exclusive?), , Hublot is said to use a custom calendar module to place the date window further towards the outside perimeter than a standard SW300-1 allows for.
Hublot does not provide much information about this supposed modification. For example, do they take an off-the-shelf Sellita movements and manufacture their own parts for the customization them install them at Hublot facilities?
HUB1110 vs HUB1112:
There is a similar calibre HUB1112 with a modification made to the calendar system to accommodate a larger case. The HUB1112 is reserved for larger diameter timepieces. For example, the 42mm and 38mm Classic Fusion watches have the HUB1110, while the 45mm version of the same model is powered by the HUB1112. (They all use the same stock photo of the movement.)
Both the HUB1110 and the HUB1112 are listed by Hublot having 63 total parts (source: Hublot Geneva Days 2018 press-release).
