The Sellita Caliber AMT5100 M is a bi-compax manual-wind mechanical flyback chronograph watch movement. It is Swiss made with 23 jewels and a beat rate of 28,800vph.

The AMT in the caliber number means that this caliber was produced by Manufacture AMT SA, a division of Sellita that handles higher-end or custom/bespoke movements.

In Hanhart’s own words:

“In tribute to our long tradition of producing chronographs, we are bringing the flyback function back to our most popular collection. Even the historic 417 ES, originally designed for pilots of the German Air Force, was equipped with “Temposchaltung”, as the flyback function is also called. The mechanism allows immediate measurement of a new timing interval by using the reset pusher. The new, first-class AMT5100 M calibre originates from Sellita’s manufacture AMT department. It controls the chronograph via column wheel and has a power reserve of at least 58 hours when fully wound.” –Source

I have this caliber in my Hanhart 417ES 1954 Flyback with custom dial (all black-no panda, and no flyback text just like the originals in the BW).

Performs well at +2spd or better on the wrist 24/7 (except bathing, of course).

A beautiful watch with a nice caliber.

Darek,

It just looks like the regular 39mm 1954 version but without the “flyback” text but it is actually a flyback like the pandas. Similar to the originals from 1954, they didn’t have “flyback” on the dial either. I got one with brown strap etc.

Been wearing it for 7 months straight now. It’s a brilliant watch.
I’m not a desk guy either, but a guy that wears it outdoors, using belt grinders making knives, and whatever I happen to be doing.
I don’t baby it but I do look after it.

It’s still better than +2 spd.

No, I’m not. I don’t use FB or any other social media.

Thanks for the offer, though.

I have this movement in my Furlan Marri Salmon Flyback – beautiful looking and performs well. What isn’t mentioned is that this has a phantom date crown position. Not too much of an issue, but worth noting.

Hmm, my Hanhart does not have a ghost date, but it does not look as nice as the Furlan Marri but perform within COSC specs, METAS specs even. From my understanding, Hanhart manufactures this caliber at their factory.

Bought my Hanhart 417C Bicolor Flyback partially because of this caliber. I have only had it for a few days and so far it has been performing at 0s/d and +1/2 days. Kudos to the Hanhart team. My only nitpick is that it could use some nicer finishing or decoration, but it was meant to be a utilitarian piece.
