The Citizen caliber 1015 (1015A, 1015B) is a 2-hander analog quartz movement with a date calendar. The trailing A or B represents movement evolution. The differences are unconfirmed, but they should be basically the same in most regards.
Similar Calibers:
This caliber has been discontinued, but appears to similar to a Miyota caliber 1L15 – which was also added to the discontinued products list and later replaced with the cal. GL15 with a cover over the coil. Therefore, when looking for a replacement or interchangeable movement for the Citizen 1015, it may be possible to use the Miyota 1L15 or GL15 (please note that this information is offered as a reasonable starting point, but it is technically unconfirmed – you do manage to perform a swap, please comment below).
This family of movements also has other versions:
- 1012A (Miyota 1L12, GL12) – Central seconds, date
- 1010A (Miyota 1L02, GL02) – Central seconds, day/date
Battery Replacement:
The movement hay have a number “280-34” engraved near the battery compartment. This is Citizen’s battery part number. It corresponds to an SR621SW or 364 type button battery.
