The S. Epson caliber VR32B is a quartz chronograph watch movement with zero jewels, made in Japan. The VR32 series is part of S. Epson’s “Muscle Movement” line of quartz calibers.
The notable feature of this movement is that the central seconds hand is a regular running seconds, while the chronograph seconds hand is in the subdial at 6:00. This configuration is ideal for watch enthusiasts who prefer an active seconds hand and/or do not prefer a stationary central seconds hand when the stopwatch is not in use. Additionally, this calibre has a 24 hour hand at 3:00.
VR32B VS VR32A:
There has been an evolution upgrade in the VR32 line of movements from VR32A to VR32B. At this time, the difference between the two is unconfirmed, but all basic specs remain the same and they are interchangeable.
The VR32A was produced since at least 2014, with the VR32B being available around October 2018 – present.
Replacement Prices:
At the time of this post, replacement prices were found online in the range of $16.99 to $29.95 USD.
