Delma caliber DT100.01 is a tourbillon watch movement with 19 jewels and a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 beats per hour). This movement is found in the Delma 1924 Tourbillon watch, introduced in 2024 as part of the 100th anniversary of the brand.
In Delma’s own words:
“DELMA’s custom designed Tourbillon is equipped with bespoke features for superior precision. The escapement and regulating organ are contained within a cage that revolves 360° every 60 seconds. As this cage rotates, any positional errors are negated. A hand affixed to the cage also serves to indicate the running seconds. The variable-inertia balance contributes to the extreme accuracy while C-shaped masselottes positioned on the spokes of the balance wheel mitigate air perturbation.” –Source
Some of the topics covered in this caliber listing:
Base Movement:
Although Delma describes the DT100.01 as “proprietary”, it appears to be based on the BCP Tourbillon SA caliber T02 framework by French watchmaker Olivier Mory, based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Some watch enthusiasts may mistake the word proprietary for in-house, but it is more of a manufacture movement with proprietary aesthetics for Delma.
See the drawing of the T02 below:
There are some of the noticeable design differences which make it a cal. DT100.01 and not a T02:
- The bridge design/cutouts
- The double spoke skeletonized ratchet wheel
- The seconds hand on the tourbillon
Finishing:
- Damaskeening (stripes) on the bridges
- Perlage on the dial side base plate
- Ruthenium-treated with dark grey finish
100% Swiss:
Delma also described the DT100.01 as “100% Swiss”, listing Atokalpa as a local partner for sourcing components.
Accuracy:
According to Delma, the DT100.01 is tested in 6 positions and is capable of an average accuracy rating of -4/+6 seconds per day. This performance puts the DT100.01 in the range of chronometer spec, although it is not COSC certified.
