Hublot Classic Fusion 45mm (Add your watch to the comments below…) |
Hublot caliber HUB1112 is an automatic movement found in the Classic Fusion 45mm line of watches from the brand.
In-House or Out-House?
Despite the product page for the Classic Fusion having a section titled “Pioneering Watch Movements” with a blurb about in-house movements, the HUB1112 is not an in-house or manufacture movement.
It is based on a Sellita SW300-1. Apart from the custom rotor and finishing, Hublot is said to use a custom calendar module to place the date window further towards the outside perimeter than a standard SW300-1 allows for.
Hublot themselves do not provide much information about this supposed modification. For example, do they take a raw stock Sellita movements and manufacture their own parts for the customization them install them at Hublot facilities?
Interesting note: The HUB1112 is listed by Hublot as having a total of 63 components. The HUB1110 is also listed as having 63 total parts.
HUB1112 vs HUB1110:
The aforementioned modification is primarily what makes the HUB1112 different from the next closest caliber: HUB1110. The HUB1112 is reserved for larger diameter timepieces. As an example, the 45mm Classic Fusion has the HUB1112, whereas the 42mm and 38mm version of the same model each house a HUB1110. (They all use the same stock photo of the movement.)
