ETA Caliber 2897

The ETA caliber 2897 is Swiss made automatic watch movement with a power reserve indicator located between 6:00 and 8:00. This caliber has 21 jewels and beats at 28,800 vph. Official ETA documentation indicates that this movement has been available since at least April of 2005.

ETA 2897 VS 2892A2:

The caliber 2897 is based on the 2892A2 framework, but with the addition of a power reserve indicator on the dial. These two calibers share many part numbers with each other, however, there are parts specific to the 2897 (see pdf tech sheets below)

Accuracy:

Accuracy of the ETA caliber 2897 can range from as much as +/-20 seconds per day to just +/-5 seconds/day. The accuracy that your watch experiences depends on the grade that the watch manufacturer chose to power their watches.
