This movement has been in production since circa 1992.
The ETA 2000-1 is often considered to be a smaller, compact version of the ETA 2892A2 automatic movement (although not exactly). The ETA 2000-1 is 19.4mm in diameter, whereas the larger 2892 is 25.6mm.
