The ETA Powermatic 80.611 is a Swiss made automatic movement found in watches produced by brands within the Swatch Group conglomerate.

Powermatic 80 movements are based on the legendary ETA 2824-2 framework, with a few notable differences. First, the beat rate (frequency) has been reduced from 28,800vph on the 2824-2 to 21,600vph on the Powermatic 80 (similar to many Seiko watches, such as the NH35A). Also, the Powermatic 80 is laser-regulated from the factory and not equipped with a standard ETACHRON found on the 2824-2. The big difference (and advantage) of the Powermatic 80 series is that the power reserve has been increased to 80 hours, compared to the 2824-2’s ~38 hours.

Certina uses the calibre 80.611 in their DS Powermatic 80 line of watches. Despite this caliber powering watches priced in the range of $1,000 USD, the brand’s official website does not show any caseback or movement images on their shop’s product pages.
