This is a 17 jewel manual wind in-house movement made in Germany.

It’s actually a quite simple movement. I just don’t understand why something like this can’t be made in the states?

The parts that are outsourced by NOMOS can’t be outsourced in the USA to be called Made in the USA. Literally everything in the movement from the rubies, to the balance, to the mainspring and hair spring would have to come from the US.

Yep, we COULD make this in the USA, but the cost would be ridiculous.
