The Seiko caliber 8229 (aka 8229A) is a quartz movement with a quickset date and bilingual day of the week. This movement is found in vintage Seiko timepieces (circa 1980 onward) and is no longer being produced.
Accuracy:
Official Seiko documentation states that the cal. 8229 has an accuracy rating of less than 15 seconds deviation per month in normal operating conditions and temperatures. Over the span of a year, the 8229 is capable of keeping time within less than 3 minutes.
