The Tissot caliber 4012 is a vintage digital quartz movement from the 1970s.
Not in the Tissot PRX Digital:
Despite verbiage in Tissot marketing materials for the modern PRX Digital T-Classic reissues, the calibre 4012 is not the same movement found in the 2023 pieces.
The Tissot PRX Digital reissue was announced in August 2023, with mentions about the watch being based on a design from 1977. From the official press-release:
“This creation is a daring fusion between the timeless PRX design and the Digital Quartz (with a 4012 Calibre), launched in 1977.”
Caliber Corner hasn’t gotten a hands-on with a calibre 4012 yet, but will update this listing when we do. In the meantime, at the time of this post, there are some movements listed on eBay (here and here, from the seller Global Watch Straps).

SSIH aka SociĂ©tĂ© Suisse pour l’Industrie HorlogĂ©re SA was a Swiss watch company group based in Geneva. It comprised of Omega and Tissot at first, later including Lemania and others. SSIH was part of what eventually turned into the modern Swatch Group conglomerate that owns and operates the Tissot brand today.
