ETA caliber 2484 is a vintage automatic watch movement found in various Tudor watches from circa 1950s ~ 1960s.
This caliber seems to be based on the ETA 2452.
It appears that the 2484 ebauche was provided exclusively to Tudor by ETA, almost like a modern-day manufacture movement. If you know of other brands using the 2484 (not counting franken watches and rebuilds), please comment below.
For the reason above, sometimes you may see this movement referred to as Tudor caliber 2484.
In Tudor’s own words:
“The movement of reference 7021 was the self-winding ETA Calibre 2484 with a date disc, polished decorations and circular Côtes de Genève finishings. Its bracelet was the Oyster-type reference 7836 with folding links and the Rolex signature.” –Source: Tudor history Divers’ watches: From 1969 to 1999
Calendar Setting:
The 2484 is not equipped with a quickset date mechanism. Therefore, in order to advance the date without having to advance the time a full 24 hours per day, simply turn the crown from 8:00PM to past 12:00AM, back to 8:00PM, then past 12:00AM and so on, until you reach your desired date.
