The Bulgari caliber 220 is based on the ETA caliber 2892-A2 automatic watch movement. The movement shown here was found in a Bvlgari Diagono watch here. The caliber has been redecorated by Bulgari, most notably the branded rotor.

The thin 3.6mm caliber 2892-A2 allows for this model to be an overall 10mm tall after casing and crystal is installed.

My customer dropped off a Bvlgari caliber 220 MBBL 21 jewel automatic movement in an aluminum case. Serial #23695. Seen on the movement is “220 MBBL V8X87.” The movement is in excellent condition – Weishi 1900 timegrapher = Amplitude 176° / Beat Error = 0.7ms / Lift Angle 51° timed for 12 seconds (face up and crown up). Would you please define “MBBL” and “V8X87” for me? I’m unable to find any reference to those two items.
