The Timex caliber M01K is a solar-powered quartz movement.
Note that it is assumed that “M01K” signed watches use S. Epson AS32A movements, but Caliber Corner has not opened a watch for confirmation. This caliber listing will be updated with images and confirmation as soon as we can get our hands on a sample watch.
The caseback of watches with this caliber are signed with:
MOV. – M01K
See the example below…
As of this caliber listing (2/25), Caliber Corner could not find any reference to “M01K” on the official Timex website.
Currently, it appears that the casebacks of solar-powered Timex watches state “Designed and Engineered by Timex”. This message is not featured on the previous models with the M01K engraving.
How long does it take to charge?
Based on the AS32A tech sheets, charging times are 5 hours in the direct sunlight, up to 60 hours under a 30W fluorescent lamp.
