No. The cal. 5K65 has an overcharge prevention function.
Does this movement take a battery?
It has a rechargeable battery, commonly referred to as a “capacitor” or “secondary battery” in the watch world. Do not attempt to fit a regular watch battery in this movement.
How long will it run on a full charge?
About 9 months.
How long does it take to fully charge?
Between 15 hours and 190 hours, depending on the light source used. For best results (and the shortest time to charge), place the watch in direct sunlight on a bright and clear sunny day. Do not let the watch get too hot from the sunshine or it can damage the dial or solar cell.
