The PTS Resources caliber DG-2813 is a 22 jewels automatic watch movement that is made in China. This caliber has been in production by PTS since at least 2001, possibly longer.
This movement is produced by several different factories and is not easy to determine which one comes from where. It is one of the early movements offered by PTS Resources.
You see, China-based watch factories don’t just knockoff luxury watch brands from around the world, they even copy from each other.
Because of its ubiquity and low price, the 2813 is sometimes mistaken for what is known as a Tonji or Chinese Standard Movement. The 2813 is not a Tongji movement and is not based on the Tongji architecture.
This movement is sometimes referred to as “A2813” – the A stands for Asia or Asian.
DG-2813 VS Miyota 8215:
The DG-2813 is based on the Miyota 8200 framework – but not a direct clone. The diameter is the same (26mm), but the thickness differs: 5.4mm (2813) VS 5.67mm (8215). Furthermore, the dial feet are not in the same locations.
Replacement Prices:
Replacement prices for the cal. DG-2813 were found online in the range of $19.99 to $39.34 USD, but at $40 bucks you’d almost be better off just buying an entire watch for parts.
