Unique to piaget polo is the rear crown 7P3 movement. And WITHOUT that movement...NOT SURE here if there is an ONGOING Supply chain for 7P3 or similar movement.. The watch is ONLY worth the value of the metal in the case. Is there any pursuit of a 7P3 or simple rear crown mechanical movement. thank you

There doesn't seem to be anything on the market similar to the caliber 7P3. Neither quartz nor mechanical with a crown on the back - aka "back-set" movements.

Perhaps the closest movement would be the Ronda caliber 756 quartz movement which has allows for a crownless watch case with a pusher on the back for setting the time (better than a crown sticking out into the wrist).

a START thank you..also if i am pursuing either a one-off or what is NOT main stream ;  maybe I am not looking at this correctly. I have to rethink here , but i will look into Ronda caliber 757

For anyone unaware of the caliber 7P3, it is a discontinued quartz movement from circa 70s~80s with the crown sticking out of the caseback. Vintage 7P3 watches and movements can be pricey and it is not easy to find functional examples. Apparently Piaget no longer services them.

Timex also had a few back-set electronic watches. For example: models 67, 84, 85, 87 from the 1960s. Bulova Accutron as well.

You can also find vintage mechanical Omega watches from the 60s with the crown on the back of the watch. For example, ladies watches with Omega caliber 640.

As for modern day back-set watches, that would be Ressence where the back IS the crown 🙂
