The Longines caliber L156 is a Swiss made quartz movement based on the ETA caliber 255.411.
Battery Notes:
The ETA 255.411 which the L156 is based on calls for a battery cell number 373 (aka SR916SW). Longines calls for a 371 (SR920SW) in watches with the cal. L156.
Both the 373 and 371 are 1.55 Volt, silver oxide cells. The main difference is the thickness:
This also means that the 371 Longines is recommending contains more power, which translates to more battery life.
Either cell will work in your L156 powered watch, but since Longines calls for the 371 and the case can accommodate the thicker cell, your best bet is to go with that.
