The Seagull caliber ST1731 / TY2718 is an automatic watch movement with a small seconds complication. This caliber is part of Sea-Gull’s ST17/TY27 family of movements.
As with most made in China movements, the ST1731 is not signed with a brand name, jewel count, or country of origin. In some instances, you may see a rotor signed “Have Jewels”, to indicate that the movement has jewels, but just no number of how many.
ST1731 (TY2718) VS ST1701 (TY2706):
The ST1731 is based on the Seagull caliber ST1701 aka TY2706, with the main difference being that the ST1701 is a no-date and the ST1731 has a datewheel.
