The S. Epson caliber VX3H (VX3HA, VX3HE) is a quartz movement with a day/date calendar and a sun/moon style day/night indicator.
This calibre is part of the VX3 series of multi-function quartz movements.
VX3H VS VX3HA VS VX3HE:
The base caliber number is VX3H. The trailing “A” is a version marker, with VX3HA being the first version, released at least as far back as May 2006.
As of this post, there is a VX3HE, which has been available since at least September 2020.
While the VX3HA and VX3HE share the same dimensions and hand sizes, the layout movement’s components seems to have changed. This observations is based on drawings and not real-world examples. See the images below with the VX3HA on the left and VX3HE on the right…
