Hi I have a O-Ring gasket greasing pad like this one and it doesn't look like any grease is getting on the gasket. Should I be able to visible see the lube on there after putting it in and turning the lid a few times? Does it mean it's dried up? If so do you refill the sponge with silicone grease or just buy a new one? I know they are cheap but I want to know what everyone else does.
Thank you for any 2 cents you can give.
Less is more. you might have too much if you can see it, saying that. I don't think too much will hurt. Just keep it away from the interior of the case. It can not do any good in there over time.
i dont think these greasing pads come pre greased, you will need to apply some silicone grease prior to use
Rodders might be right. it would be worth a quick check, but again. you don't need much

The sponges/pads in those speed lubricator canisters do come pre-greased with silicone grease.
It shouldn't drench your gasket in grease, but if you aren't getting anything then it's likely dried up. You can also try to squeeze the top of the plastic canister while twisting, sometimes there is not enough pressure between the two sponges for the grease to land on the gasket.
