The Miyota caliber 82S8 in an unconfirmed automatic movement and not yet part of the Miyota catalog. If it does exist, it would have an open-balance based on the caliber family 82SX.
While unconfirmed, it is possible that the 82S8 is similar to the 82S7, but with discs instead of hands for the small seconds subdial between 4:00 and 5:00 and 24 hour indicator at 9:00. There have been reports of a SevenFriday model claiming to have an 82S8, while also having a disc indicator configuration.

It is possible that some brands have received access to unreleased movements, but it’s more likely that it is simply a typo or miscommunication on a watch brand’s product description or blogger’s review.
