The ETA caliber E64.111 is a Swiss made quartz movement with 8 jewels. Some (not all) E64.111 are PreciDrive movements, putting them in the category of High-Accuracy Quartz (HAQ).

Is it Thermocompensated?
The E64.111 is produced as a PreciDrive or non-PreciDrive movement. PreciDrive movements are thermocompensated.
Changing the Battery:
The battery cell on the ETA E64.111 is held in by friction, meaning you do not need to unscrew any screws or move any cell straps for access to the battery. Just make sure the battery insulator is intact and in place underneath the battery cell!
Replacement Battery:
There are two sizes of watch batteries that can be used in the E64.111:
The main difference between these two batteries is that the 373 is 1.6mm tall and the 371 is 2.1mm.
The variation in height is due to the difference in energy in the cell. The slimmer 373 has 29.0 mAh and the 371 is rated at 40.0 mAh.
All this really means is that the thicker battery will last longer – but keep in mind that not all watch cases are designed to accommodate the thicker battery.
Expected Battery Life:
According to ETA, the larger 371 battery cell should provide about 57 months of runtime. The 373 should get about 41 months of runtime. Please comment below with your battery experience.
Pro-Tip: It’s always a good idea to mark your battery with the install date, or make a note somewhere with the date of the new battery.
Interesting note: The Omega 4564 is said to be based on the ETA cal. E64.111, however, Omega claims 25 months for the battery life on that caliber.
Low Battery Indicator (EOL):
When the battery is low and needs replaced, the seconds hand will skip and jump every 4 seconds. When this mode is active, the timekeeping is still accurate, but it’s time to change the battery.

At the time of this post, replacement prices for cal. E64111 were found online in the range of $65.52 USA to $94.95 USD.

The main difference between these E6X.1111 movements is the diameter.

Interchangeability:
The E64.111 is 100% interchangeable with ETA’s 255.XXX and 256.XXX family of quartz calibers (with the same diameter).
