The Seagull caliber TY2809 is an affordable skeleton dial automatic watch movement. It is a 3-hander with 21 jewels, made in China.

There are minimal markings on this caliber. No branding is found, but there is a country of origin and jewel count laser etched on the far outside of the rotor. AAA is also laser etched there.

Do the hands of a miyota movement 2815 fit on this movement? Ore other easy to find hands because can’t find the fitting hands for ty2809

8215 fit, except second hand, when you take off the one it comes with it won’t fit back in, it’s huge, around 0.5 mm.. I’ve made my watch and have foregone the second hand altogether.

I’m very happy with my Forge&Foster Avantian X Spectre as it keeps time very well with this skeleton movement. Very well regulated better than my Victorinox

The Fossil ME3206 and watches like it (for example ME3220) use this same movement. However the looks of the movement is altered in these models but the movement is mechanically still the same.
