Hi QM1SW but I go by Lou. They would not let me use it as a member name.
For the longest I been fascinated with the engineering of automatic and mechanical movement watches. I finally have bought some cheap movements and taken apart. Now I have a lot of parts and a few unfinished projects as I slowly take myself through this fascinating micro-world of engineering. I found this site by accident on the internet and really enjoying it.
Been lurking but just joined. I too have a love of automatics. I bought my first in 1970 and have never stopped buying and loving them. Currently infatuated with the Seiko ladies Hi Beats of the late 60's into the 70's.
I like the Seiko watches also. I bought a Dive watch some 10 or 12 years ago. SKXA35 with a yellow dial. I did not know it would retain its value as it has. I also own an SRPD55. 4R36 movement seems as good as 7S26 in my SKX. I like that it has hacking on the 4R.
Welcome both of you to the community!
