The Omega caliber 565 is a vintage automatic movement with 3 hands and a date.
The exact date the cal. 565 was introduced is unconfirmed, however, technical documentation was found dated 1966.
The calibre 565 is based on the 563 which has 17 jewels compared to 24 in the 565.
Some of the topics covered in this caliber listing:
Adjusting the Date:
Important: The parts that make up the quickset mechanism in the 565 are prone to breaking if the date is changed while the hands positioned between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM. For that reason, DO NOT attempt to adjust the date during those times.
To change the date, pull the crown out one click (time-setting mode), then pull crown again and the date will advance. Pull, push, pull, push, until you reach the correct date.
