I'm looking for a suitable movement for a microbrand or modder that has a great finish. Automatic, with day/date, and chronograph dials. Must be high end but within reason. Not looking for a cheap knockoff that looks great in the ads but is worse than a burger from McDonalds in person. Also there should be a decent number of cases that it can fit into and dials, hands, etc...
I've been googling for a few hours now and have looked a few more times lately but never really found what I'm looking for. Just so you know I'm not being lazy by posting this here. Thanks
Sigh, I just went browsing on this site and i see there's going to be something that fits what i want. I looked on this site a while ago but only briefly at the time. Glad it registered with me enough to remember the name eventually. lol. Anyway any recommendations would still e welcomed

Glad you found something that fits what you want. Which caliber did you find?
Perhaps the Sellita caliber SW500 could work?
Maybe SW500 is a good option,if you are doing swiss made watches, for watch case if u want to find a very professional watch factory make for you , you can check :www.ccustomwatch.com , they are a individual watchmaker's watch factory, maybe it can help you 🙂 Please ask them before you cooperate with them, ensure everything can fix you very well, if not ,just check more other people's suggestion:)
Can you give me a link to where I can buy the SW500 movement and also buy dials and cases etc... for the movement too? thanks I haven't had any luck in locating such things myself through google searches
I don’t mean to sound negative but that’s a good movement but not really mainstream for modders. Ie not sure many cases are available in the secondary market.
most modded watches and most microbrand watches use nh35 - 36 or 38 from seiko 34 if gmt, or the miyotas from citizen, they are cheap and reliable with a lot on offer in the way of modding but are not very well finished, yet you can buy parts to make them seem more finished, this also pushes the price up with parts making them not so cheap.
some microbrands use the selitas which are a lot more expensive, but better quality and finising overall, but not catered for in the modding world but ok if you can use a 3d printer to make your own movement spacers
