Hi, does anyone knows this miyota movement number ? This movement has no date display. Watch is from CT Scuderia.

Hi Jas, based on the rotor style it appears to be an 8 series movement. Note: The older 8215 has no cutout on the rotor, but the newer ones do (see this Timex 02N for example).

Can you please show the dial side or share the model number for more specific identification? Also, is there a second position on the crown (phantom date)?

Basic 3-hander with a date. Most likely a Miyota 8215 as previously mentioned.

They didn't even have to modify the datewheel or anything. Notice the tilted date position at 4:30, still works with the crown at 12:00. Look at the dial side of a raw 8215 and turn the crown from 3 to 12.

My apologies. I didn't notice the date window at 4.30. Thank you for the information 👍

Crown at 12 is an interesting move.

Newer Miyota movements are marked with text "MIYOTA JAPAN CWMJ". Included the famous 20 and 82 series.

Newer movements might have markings but how many of the older units are in the system and available for purchase?

Maybe those old movements are wholesailers sailing inventory, if you order movements from Miyota's agent, the movement you bought might be the new one
