The Sellita SW510 is a family of automatic chronograph watch movements with various subdial layouts and pusher styles, based on the SW500.
In Sellita’s own words:
“The SW510 is the “tricompax” version of the SW500. The SW510 therefore offers a traditional chronograph layout, that is, a 30 minutes counter at 3 o’clock, 12 hours counter at 6 o’clock and small second counter at 3 o’clock. Quick setting of the date is activated via the crown. The SW510 has the same watch casing dimensions as the SW500 which means the same casing as well as the same hands as the SW500 can be used.”
SW510 Variations:
There are at least 11 configurations of the calibre SW510. The caliber number are not well-thought out and can create caliber confusion. Also note that technical specifications may change between each version.
All SW510 variants are automatic chronograph movements.
The main two versions of the SW510 are 3-6-9 tricompax layout automatic chronograph movements with two pushers. The main difference is whether it has a date or not:
- SW510 a – 3-6-9 tricompax, date at 4:30.
- SW510 b – 3-6-9 tricompax, true no-date.
Note: Keep in mind that just because your SW510 watch doesn’t have a date doesn’t mean it is an “SW510 b”. It is possible for a watch brand to use the “SW510 a” with a dial that doesn’t have a date cutout, with a phantom date position.
Other versions include the dual pusher (buttons at 2:00 and 4:00) series:
- SW510 BH a – 3-6 bicompax, date at 6:00
- SW510 BH b – 3-6 bicompax, true no-date
- SW510 BH c – 9 unicompax, date at 9:00
Monopusher (one button at 2:00):
- SW510 MP a – 3-6 bicompax, date at 6:00
- SW510 MP b – 3-6 bicompax, true no-date
- SW510 MP c – 9 unicompax, date at 9:00
Monopusher (pusher integrated in the crown):
- SW510 MPC a – 3-6 bicompax, date at 6:00
- SW510 MPC b – 3-6 bicompax, true no-date
- SW510 MPC c – 9 unicompax, date at 9:00
Grades:
The SW510 family has 3 grades: Elabore, Top, Chronometer.
Elabore is tested in 3 positions, regulated to an average accuracy of +/-5 seconds per day.
Top and Chronometer are tested in 5 positions.
Top has an average accuracy of +/-4 seconds. Chronometer is regulated to COSC spec.

No hacking seconds. Dealbreaker. Don’t settle for less than the ST2130 from Seagull.
