Seiko 4R to NH Conversion

The list below gives a general idea as to the crossover caliber numbers between the 4R and NH series. Keep in mind that while the watch community mostly goes on the premise that these calibers are interchangeable, there may be slight differences between 4R and NH calibers. The caliber numbers are easy to decipher, mostly just switch 4R with NH.

*4R15/4R16 are related to the 7S family of movements

The NH35 is found in lots of fashion watches, and micro brands. It’s a reliable good quality caliber. Great value for money, but be careful, particularly with ‘Fashion’ watches; they are very overpriced and often badly finished for the price. Bear in mind that mechanical watches also need periodic servicing, depending on how much you wear your watch.
