The Forsining/Winner caliber DD119 is a skeletonized watch movement that is made in China. It is available in gold or silver tone.
This is an elusive caliber that suffers from a lack of consistent information, which is common with many made-in-China movements – leading to caliber confusion. These movements are not signed with a factory name, country of origin, jewel count, nor caliber number.
PTS Resources currently has a similar caliber they call G3212-ZH or G3212ZH (sometimes sold by watch parts sellers as G3212).
Some of the topics covered in this caliber listing:
Automatic or Manual-Wind?
Adding to the confusion, the DD119 caliber number appears to be applied to more than one style of movement. You may see brands with automatics and manual-winds claiming to be the DD119.
As you continue reading below, PTS Resources used to offer similar calibers in both types of winding configurations.
Time Module? No!
You may also see this caliber listed as a “Time Module Mechanical Movement DD119”, but it has nothing to do with Seiko or Time Module, Inc. (aka TMI).
Similar Calibers:
PTS Resources previously had other calibers that look like they share a similar framework as the G3212-ZH – also available as manual-wind and automatic. While not exactly the same, this information might help with tracing the roots/origin of the DD119.
First is the G2653ZH (and G2654ZH) from circa 2017-2018:
In 2007-2008, PTS Resources had a manual-wind caliber they called the 2650-S.
Fast forward to 2017-2018 and PTS Resources started to offer an automatic version called the 2650SZ (and 2650SSZ).
