Eta 6498 1 2 Differences

What is the difference between caliber 6498-1 and 6498-2?

There are two variations of the ETA/Unitas 6498 including the 6498-1 and 6498-2. The -1 beats at 18,800vph while the -2 beats at 21,600vph and is COSC. The -2 typically costs more.

Part Interchangeability

There are some differences in parts as well. This was outlined by lysanderxiii on wus:

The -2s (operating at 21,600 bph) have the following interchangeable with the slower -1s:

  • Pallet Bridge
  • Stem
  • Sliding Pinion
  • Winding Pinion
  • Crown Wheel Ring
  • Click Spring
  • Yoke Spring
  • Setting Wheel
  • Intermediate Setting Wheel
  • Case screw
