The Carl F. Bucherer caliber CFB T3000 is an automatic tourbillon movement. This caliber is a COSC certified chronometer beating at 21,600 bph.
Some of the topics covered in this caliber listing:
What makes this tourbillon special?
The notable feature of the cal. CFB T3000 is its patented “Peripheral” tourbillon construction. This means that the tourbillon cage is not mounted in the movement’s main plate or in an overlying bridge. Three ceramic ball-bearings are used to give the tourbillon its floating appearance.
For this reason, CF Bucherer states that the designers placed the tourbillon cage at 12:00, rather than 6:00 as with many Swiss tourbillons. This is to highlight the special construction at the top of the dial.
Double Peripheral:
As mentioned above, the tourbillon makes use of CFB’s Peripheral design, but so is the automatic winding system – making it Double Peripheral. At first glance, did you think the T3000 was a manual wind movement? Look again at the outer edge of the movement… as with the tourbillon cage, the automatic system is not attached to a bridge or the movement’s main plate.
In C.F. Bucherer’s own words:
“The engineers and watchmakers of Carl F. Bucherer developed a completely new movement specifically for this timepiece. The CFB T3000 manufacture caliber draws power from its automatic winding system containing a peripheral rotor making the tourbillon feature very distinct.
The watch’s precise function is ensured by a tourbillon, which is mounted peripherally and thus appears to float inside the watch. Both of these technical features are specialties of the family-owned watchmaker and give the new masterpiece its name: Manero Tourbillon Double Peripheral.” -Source: Any of the Manero Tourbillon Double Peripheral product pages
Update August 2023: They might want to edit that “family-own3ed watchmaker” part since now being owned by the not-so-family oriented Rolex conglomerate.
Recommended Service Intervals:
According to the brand, the caliber CFB T3000 should undergo routine maintenance every 4 years.
“As a mechanical instrument, a watch requires maintenance by an authorized service center about once every four years.” -Official instruction manual

Note: Some of the brand’s listings state that the movement has 32 jewels and other list 33 jewels. As soon as I find out the reason for difference in jewel counts, I will update this post. In the meantime, if you happened to know, please post it in the comments below…
