Some of the topics covered in this caliber listing:
Introduction:
The calibre 9130 is Bremont’s first tourbillon caliber, introduced at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2024. This movement is found in the brand’s limited edition Terra Nova Dual-Time Tourbillon watch model, with only 30 pieces available worldwide.
Bremont featured the Terra Nova Dual-Time Tourbillon on their Instagram page for the first time on July 11, 2024.
Origins:
What Bremont says about the origins of the cal. 9130:
“The complex movement has been developed in collaboration with French, Swiss-based watchmaker Olivier Mory, using his tourbillon module to create a complication dedicated to travel and exploration. Our tourbillon has been intricately hand-assembled by our talented team of watchmakers at ‘The Wing’ in Henley-on-Thames.” –Source
The watchmaker they are referring to is Olivier Mory from BCP Tourbillons (as well as his OM Mechanics), based in La-Chaux-de-Fonds. Bremont is a watch company based in London, England. Bremont’s main tagline on their website is: British Made Luxury Watch.
Base Caliber:
BCP And Olivier Mory’s involvement with the 9130 most likely places the base calibre somewhere in the realm of the BPC Tourbillons cal. T02 framework, with additional aesthetics and functionality not limited to:
Second time-zone complication with GMT dual-time globe at 12:00:
Blue propeller escapement bridge:
Ratchet wheel design:
Tourbillon bridge design:
Aside from the differences listed above, the similarities are clear:
On BCP’s Instagram page, they claim the following about their movements:
“100% Swiss made mechanical movement / High-shock resistance and precision / More than 100 hours Power Reserve”
Similar base movements provided by BCP can also be found in BA111OD watches, as well as the Delma 1924 Tourbillon. BCP also released their own limited edition watch with the T02. Out of these examples, the Bremont is the only one with the dual-time indicator at 12:00, so they are not equal comparisons.

Editor’s Commentary:
A brand’s first tourbillon movement used in a watch priced over $30K is a big deal. For that reason, it seems that Bremont should have put more effort into choosing a better caliber number to avoid any caliber confusion in the community. This is not to say that there can’t be two movements from totally different companies with the same caliber number, but for such a monumental and important step in a company’s history, brands should consider doing a basic search for the number – if only for the benefit of their SEO. Doing so immediately brings the Miyota caliber 9130 to the top of the search results (and top of mind for many watch enthusiasts), with little chance of ever topping the ranks for that term.
