The Audemars Piguet caliber 2124 is an automatic movement. This movement was in production between circa 1982~1996 and has been discontinued.

Cal. 2124 was an evolution of the AP calibre 2123. It was produced from an ebauche made by LeCoultre & Cie. Next was the caliber 2125 with an indirect seconds hand. Eventually, these calibers evolved to the caliber 2224 (28,800 bph) and 2324.

2124 serves as a base movement with different variants depending on the configuration. For example:

  • 2124-2810Pointer date at 3:00; pointer day of the week at 9:00
  • 2124-2825 – Pointer date at 3:00; pointer day of the week at 9:00; moonphase indicator at 6:00

InterestingNote: 1983 documentation shared by Audemars Piguet shows a lift angle of 53 degrees and a runtime of ~50 hours; however, in 1997, tech sheets appear to have been updated to a lift angle of 48 degrees with a runtime of 48 hours.
