The ETA/Valjoux caliber 7753 is an automatic cam type chronograph movement. This movement is from the same family as the caliber 7750.

7750 vs 7753:

The 7750 and 7753 are very similar. In fact, the 7753 is based on the 7750. Visually (from the dial side), you should be able to tell the difference:

Mechanically, you can differentiate between the two movements based on the setting of the date. The 7750 date sets by the crown, the 7753 set from a 3rd pusher (see below). If you’re able to see the movement, but cannot see the caliber number stamp, remember that the 7750 has 25 jewels and the 7753 has 27.

Date Pusher:

The date is typically adjusted by a pusher at 10:00 (some watches, like this Tudor Fastrider, have it at 9:00).

Some watch brands that use this movement opt to not include the pusher in their designs. This could be for water-resistance issues, etc. For example, Breitling labels the ETA 7753 as their caliber 23, and when used in the SuperOcean Heritage, it does not have the calendar corrector.

Changing the Date:

If an ETA 7753 powered watch does not have a pusher integrated into the side of the case (as pictured above), you will have to manually set the date by continuously advancing the hands forward until the desired date is set.
